I highly recommend getting your pet professionally groomed before the shoot. We always want them to look their very best!
Being able to get their energy out before a shoot goes a long way! Your dog will be doing a lot of sitting and standing in place and calmer dogs are a lot easier to work with.
Tell me about your pet! What are their favorite things, what do they not like? I want you and your pet to be as comfortable as possible during our photoshoot.
Do you also have an idea of what you want to do with the final photos? Having an idea of what you want to do with the end photos can help as we carry out your session.
I try to keep shoots as calm and casual as I can. I like to let the animal lead the shoot and let them tell me what they want to do - the more comfortable your animal is, the better the shoot will be!
While it does give more opportunities, it is not required for your animal to know all the tricks. I've worked with plenty of animals with different personalities and ages over the years and have always made it work to create beautiful images! Your pet's safety is my number one priority and will never ask more than what your pet can handle.
The more the merrier! My prices include up to two (2) pets with $50 per extra pet.
Of course! Even though I primarily focus on pets during these sessions, I love the chance at capturing the bond between people and their pets.
Absolutely! Reptiles, birds, farm animals....you name it! I am down to photograph any animal you have as long as you let me know a head of time! I feel like there's not enough photos of the non-conventional in the world and will always be happy to put more out there!
I found that photoshoots go a lot smoother when you work with what the animal is comfortable with. Being said, I try to keep it under an hour with lots of little breaks for the pet!
